INSTI HIV Self Test in the News

After recently announcing the Health Canada approval of our INSTI HIV Self Test, we were excited to see the news featured online, in print and on TV around the country!

We collected some of our favourite articles about the news that INSTI is Canada’s first-ever HIV Self Test. With results in one minute and over 99% accuracy, Canadians can test themselves for HIV in the comfort of home with confidence using INSTI. It’s easy as 1-2-3!

Global News reporter Nadia Stewart commented,  “In a Richmond factory, thousands of test kits are being assembled – each one a game changer,” after visiting our state-of-the art manufacturing facility in British Columbia.

Local newspaper Richmond News also featured an interview with our Chief Scientific Officer Michelle Zaharik.

CTV News spoke to Michelle, as well as a range of researchers in Canada about this exciting new option for ending the HIV epidemic.

Daily Hive in Vancouver shared the words of our Chief Executive Officer, Robert Mackie, who said, “Ending the HIV epidemic starts with testing. By providing innovative options like our 1-minute INSTI HIV Self Test, we can help people who are unaware of their HIV status to learn the facts and make informed health decisions much faster.”

City News TV explained that experts have called the approval of our INSTI HIV Self Test “Critical for reaching people who don’t know they have the virus.”
